Ways to serve krishna select the one which suits you Best


At the temple


Volunteer in the temple – clean, cook, do administrative tasks
Sponsor the Sunday feast
Buy books, CDs, tapes, other stuff from the boutique
Contribute Lakshmi (money) to the temple
Offer to buy the flour, vegetables or other edibles for prasadam for the temple

Publicity


Offer to print or finance brochures/ pamphlets/ flyers that publicize the temple’s activities
If you have your own business or shop: put up brochures with details about the temple – aarti timings, temple address and phone number, and other relevant information
Sponsor publicity campaigns in newspapers and other media for ISKCON, glorifying Krishna and inviting people to His temples across the country/ world
Encourage others – neighbors, friends, family members to attend aarti/ kirtan and partake of the bliss of His Name and of prasadam
Create a Website for the temple and help to maintain it
Carry out Krishna book distribution

Holy Name


Chant His Holy Name – alone and congregationally
Sing for Him – e.g.: volunteer to sing kirtans at congregations if you feel you are blessed with a nice voice
Speak lovingly about Krishna to at least one new person and encourage them to partake of the bliss of kirtan, aarti at least once every day/week/month – whatever you decide is possible for you.
Invite devotees from the Krishna temple to your home to perform aarti and kirtan

At Home

Install Radha-Krishna Deities at home, and worship Them in full pomp and splendor.
Offer everything that you consume to Shri Shri Radha and Krishna before eating or drinking it – remember, there are certain injunctions that go with this!!!
Chant the Mahamantra
Listen to Krishna bhajans

In Daily Life


Do everything for Krishna – offer Him everything you have and do (refer chapter 5 of the Bhagavad Gita for more on this)
Think of how you can serve Him in different ways always!
Buy books/ CDs/ other Krishna-related items from Krishna Culture or Bhaktivedanta Book Trust
Help other Krishna devotees

Raising Spiritual Standards


Organize a maha clean-up of the temple kitchen or pujari room. Meditate on cleansing your heart.
Support local brahmacaris and brahmacarinis; buy them socks, medicines, an alarm clock, etc.
Increase your attendance at temple programs.
Read 100 lines daily from Prabhupada's books.
Improve the quality and number of your rounds.
 Increase the quality of your sadhana through study, association, and prayer.
 Increase your level of surrender to Lord Krishna.
Read books on improving japa and Deity worship.
Memorize 10 key verses from the Bhagavad-gita.
Make a list of 10 positive goals to improve your spiritual character and quality of self-realization.

Strengthening Management


Volunteer your professional skills to the
nearest temple (accounting, fund raising,
editing, computing, etc.).
Attend local Centennial meetings.
